Almost everything that slows this work down is furniture. Beds to shift, sofas to work around, wardrobes with a year of dust behind them. In a vacant property none of that exists, so the hours go straight onto surfaces: inside every cupboard and wardrobe, the full skirting run behind where the doors open, the window tracks, the floors from wall to wall.

That is why we would rather come in before your things do. Book the gap between completion or the check-in date and the day the van arrives, and after any decorating rather than alongside it. Decorators leave fine dust, flecks of paint and plaster residue on every horizontal surface in a property, so cleaning before they have finished is buying the same job twice.

A void costs you every week it stands, and a property that shows badly stands longer. A clean before the photographs and the viewings is the cheapest week you will buy back. Between tenancies it also protects the next deposit, because a documented starting condition is what an adjudicator compares the eventual checkout against, and licensing on both sides of this patch has pushed check-in reports towards photographs rather than a page of ticks.

One honest limit on this page. Moving in work is the smaller of our two streams and we are not going to dress it up as the bigger one. The sales market has been going the other way: average first-time-buyer prices in Wandsworth fell 6.3% in the year to May 2026 on Land Registry figures, and a slower market means fewer completions for anybody to clean after. Renting is the volume in this patch and always has been.

And a boundary worth stating plainly. A property left in a genuinely difficult state, heavy accumulation, hoarding, or years of damage rather than dirt, is not this service and we will not sell it to you as one.
